ITALIAN | KOREAN

My childhood was shaped by growing up in different parts of the world, including South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and New Zealand. My musical journey began at the age of five when I started learning piano. I had the privilege of learning from some inspiring teachers who nurtured my creativity and musical understanding.

Today, as a teacher myself, I am committed to inspiring my students in the same way. I have taught students of all ages and levels privately and in various academic institutions including Amadeo Roldan Conservatory of Music in Havana, Cuba.

My own musical education began at the Purcell School in England, and I later moved to Germany to pursue my Diploma studies. I went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from the City of Basel Music Academy in Switzerland and a Master of Music degree from the University of Music & Performing Arts Stuttgart in Germany, graduating with the highest honors for both degrees. I also completed a Postgraduate Artist Diploma at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to perform in many renowned venues around the world, including the Wigmore Hall, St James's Piccadilly, and the Royal Opera House. I have participated in numerous international music festivals and have recorded sessions at famous studios such as Abbey Road and RAK in London. My repertoire encompasses a wide range of styles, from classical to jazz and pop.

In addition to my musical pursuits, I am proud of my Korean heritage and have had the honor of performing at events such as the Embassy Series at St Martin-in-the-Fields, supported by the South Korean Embassy, and the Korean Music Festival in London. I have also organized fundraising concerts for the European Alliance for Human Rights in North Korea.

My playing style is a unique blend of German, Russian, and French traditions, shaped by my studies with some of the world's most renowned cellists, including Gustav Rivinius, Ivan Monighetti, and Elena Cheah. I have also had the privilege of participating in masterclasses with distinguished artists such as David Geringas, Thomas Demenga, and Ralph Kirshbaum. As a selected musician for the Concordia Foundation and Music in Hospitals, I have shared my music with a diverse range of audiences and communities.
